Once you’ve cut the calories and have started consuming the proper amount of food per day, you are ready to remodel your diet a little more. To get better weight loss results, you have to pay attention to what is in the food you eat. For example, if Jack eats a 2,000 calorie diet of starches and high fructose corn syrup and Jane eats a 2000 calorie diet of fibers and healthy carbohydrates, Jane will lose more weight and be healthier than Jack.
Many people believe it is too difficult or inconvenient to diet. This isn’t true at all. Very little thought needs to go into preparing proper meals, once you recognize the proper building blocks of healthy foods. The best tip anyone can give on selecting the right foods is this: READ THE LABELS! Know what is making the product you are consuming, and make better choices.
For example, if a boxed juice product contains high fructose corn syrup, and fresh squeezed orange juice does not, you should choose the fresh juice with fewer additives. This applies to foods too. If you are choosing between a cereal with 25% of the carbohydrates being fiber and one with only 10% fiber, the higher fiber selection is the right choice. Always know what you are eating, and weight loss is an obtainable goal.
